FEELINGS
Talking to people
is something i don't do
I don't trust anyone
not anymore
Can't tell people anything
in words that are clear
It's not like they will
Even pretend to hear.
Listening to people
I start to understand
How incredibly annoying
I really am.
When i talk
It's not like you care
Some don't even know
That i am there.
Blissfully silent
Never making a peep
Always listening
and observing
Always there
but never will they know.
When they find out i am
I'm gone before they can say
"Don't ever tell
What you heard here this day"
Never speaking unless spokean to
Always silent never really there.
You wonder why
and some even ask
"what's wrong?
Can't she accomplish this task?"
Never recieving an answer
They stand and wonder
"how'd she get this way
Did she somehow go under?
We've treated her right
Or the best that we can
She won't even take
A hold of my hand."


For my friend about her feelings at school and home.


Away from reality and back again

Running through the fields
finally free
running from pain
No more hiding
Never more
Will i sit in fear.
Trying to stay safe
Always hiding
Suddenly it's over
and i remember
that it's not real
Slowly walking
back into the woods
Finally ripped back
back to reality
listening intently
i hear the clip-clop
of my mounts hooves
wanting once more
to be free
free from this pain
Then it's over
dismounting slowly
i hear his voice.
Staying in the shadows
of the horses stall
trying to be brave
not sink in fear.
when he finds me
it's hell
Wanting once more
To be on my horses back
To get away from the one
The one who caused this pain
i wish it would stop
he only ceases
when i'm laying
Laying on the ground
bloody and broken.


I'm finally free
From the horrors he's caused
But only at a price
That none should pay.
